We also welcome the experienced flyer, but for who else to help teach the novice. We have at this time three runways in our field and about 300 acres of open grass land to fly in. We welcome all who have an interest in silent flying.
York County Soaring is located in Limington, ME. and has interests in flying Thermal Duration, Point to Point Thermal and Hand-launch Thermal, F3J, F3B, F5J and Electric Soaring.

Thank you
Team Lighthorse which was a small competitive soaring team in the late 70's early 80's with one pilot (Ken "Lighthorse" Leamy) and two spotters, Has now changed its name to Team YCS. It will still keep the symbol of the horses head that ken has had since the army for it's logo (Click Here). York County Soaring is expanding and enlarging the team and looking for a couple of pilots and spotters to add to the original team members.
Team Lighthorse was into slope, duration and Cross County racing, Team YCS will be involved with point to point distance, cross country distance and thermal duration. If you are interested in joining the team contact ken@ycsoaring.com.
Team YCS is also looking for donations and sponsors. We are having two Cross Country Launching Winch's made that will launch planes with up to 20' wing spans, they also have 2400 ft. of line. The winches can also be used at our field. We have received vox radio equipment so that pilots and ground crew can stay in touch without distractions from the above sponsor.
Please contact us if you wish to help.

Special Thanks goes to Towneline Productions, Inc.
